I wish the answer was "yes", but its not.  Often times when going to grocery store there isn't a good selection of organic produce or meat.  I get what is available at that time.  Price also plays a role in my selection and most of you know that organic food is much more expensive.  So when working with a budget, its not always feasible.  Now i do think its important to get the best quality food you can buy.  You are what you eat and if you are eating junk, then you probably will feel like junk.  I also think its important that you get the organic fruits and vegetables that are more exposed to the pesticides.  Bottom Line is organic/clean food is important, but its not the end-all. My answer was, "no!"  There is a time and place that medical prescriptions are necessary and i a&lt;a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-r6iKYzCIMDo/TtZcU50Qj0I/AAAAAAAAADY/cf0OOe296Ho/s1600/Cartoon_Doctor.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="float: right; margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; cursor: pointer; width: 392px; height: 226px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-r6iKYzCIMDo/TtZcU50Qj0I/AAAAAAAAADY/cf0OOe296Ho/s200/Cartoon_Doctor.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5680829494161608514" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;m not blinded to that fact.  20 months ago, my wife was in a horrible 18 wheeler auto accident and spent 17 days in the hospital and then spent the next 17 months going to physical therapy and occupational therapy.   That is definitely a time that somebody needs medical intervention. She still isn't well from that accident, but is better and independent. If somebody has bronchitis or pneumonia or maybe even severe case of strep, then an antibiotic is ok.  I personally haven't been on an antibiotic in over 15 years even if i had a sickness.  So just saying, its not my preference, but its also not the end of the world if somebody does need an antibiotic.  The prescription medications that i "cringe" at are going to be the long term medications, ie diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol, thyroid, arthritis, acid reflux, anxiety, depression etc... those cause more damage to you because you are on them for the rest of your life.  The long term medications are the ones you need to try to avoid. I hope everybody is going strong.  Things become a little bit more difficult as we go into the weekend.  A lot of people loose focus during a weekend.  Stay true to the diet over the next 3 days.  At this point in the detox your energy should be better, digestive symptoms should be gone.  You may not have lost weight at this point, but trust me your body is making progress.  It will take about 10-14 days before you notice much weight loss.  So hang in there and keep plugging along.  Drop me a comment or ask a question. Mostly you will be eating meat and veggies.  I had a great steak, steamed broccoli and a salad for dinner last night.  No bread, crutons or any bread product.  It was great. I slept well, which usually happens while I am detoxing.  Today for breakfast I will be eating some eggs with mixed in veggies. Cell phones, wifi, computers, wireless routers, cell phone towers, etc.  It seems like its all around us.  Most people don't think about the hazards this technology is causing.  These are hidden hazards that you can't see, feel or hear.  But believe me that are recking havoc on your cellular body.  This is something that comes up in almost every test I run these days.  Most people have an extremely high levels of radiation running through their bodies and they don't even realize it.  This is detected from the thermography screening as well.&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Symptoms can vary from person to person.  What i find is that if your immune system is weak, it will affect you much more than a person who's immune system is strong.  One of the biggest things you will notice is not sleeping well.  A lot of rolling around and restlessness.  Other issues that can occur are headaches, fatigue, unexplained inflammation or swelling.  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;You can buy devices that will protect you and your home environment.  I personally wear cell phone chips on all my cell phones, i also put them on the wirelss routers at the home and office and I wear a pendant around my neck at all times.  This is real stuff guys and you need to take percautions where you can.  Your home should be protected. We discussed gluten and all the problems related to gluten.  What I learned during the radio show is very interesting.  Gluten is a GMO (genetically modified food) and everybody on some level is sensitive to gluten.  Most people think gluten intolerance is only digestive, but it can be much much more. ie headaches, arthritic pains, thyroid issues, digestive issues, depression and many more.  Most all processed food today is made with gluten and since it is a GMO, the body doesn't even recognize what you are feeding it.  I have many clients that come in with all sort of symptoms that are never diagnosed.  They search and search for answers but nothing comes on their blood test.  They are eventually told they have a mental problem and are recommended a presciption of some kind for depression.  Some of these cased can be a simple case of gluten intolerance.  I learned on the radio show that most testing for gluten is for celiacs disease only and often time can't find other the less intolerances than celiacs disease.  Celiacs disease is a more severe case and there is a blood test for that disease. Most all soy is a genetically engineered food, which means its foreign to the body and that the body doesn't recognize anything you are giving it.  60% of all processed food has some soy in it.  So you need to be checking your labels.  Many of you that are drinking soy milk, you need to stop right now.  Throw out the bottle you have.  Soy milk is one of the most produced soy products.  Also mothers that are feeding their infant soy formula, you need to stop.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are many hazards to soy&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt; High levels of phytic acid in soy reduce assimilation of calcium, magnesium, copper, iron and zinc. Phytic acid in soy is not neutralized by ordinary preparation methods such as soaking, sprouting and long, slow cooking. High phytate diets have caused growth problems in children. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Trypsin inhibitors in soy interfere with protein digestion and may cause pancreatic disorders. In test animals soy containing trypsin inhibitors caused stunted growth.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Soy phytoestrogens disrupt endocrine function and have the potential to cause infertility and to promote breast cancer in adult women. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Soy phytoestrogens are potent antithyroid agents that cause hypothyroidism and may cause thyroid cancer. In infants, consumption of soy formula has been linked to autoimmune thyroid disease. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Vitamin B&lt;sub&gt;12&lt;/sub&gt; analogs in soy are not absorbed and actually              increase the body's requirement for B&lt;sub&gt;12&lt;/sub&gt;. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Soy foods increase the body's requirement for vitamin D.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Fragile proteins are denatured during high temperature processing to make soy protein isolate and textured vegetable protein. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Processing of soy protein results in the formation of toxic lysinoalanine              and highly carcinogenic nitrosamines. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Free glutamic acid or MSG, a potent neurotoxin, is formed during soy food processing and additional amounts are added to many soy foods. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Soy foods contain high levels of aluminum which is toxic to the              nervous system and the kidneys.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;You can find much more on the hazards of soy at the &lt;a href="http://www.westonaprice.org/soy-alert.html"&gt;Weston A. You will have to find a dairy farmer to get access to Raw Milk, but you can find one almost everywhere.  Its worth the time and energy to get your self some delicious raw milk.  Raw milk has so many more benefits than you will get from pasteurized milk.  Raw milk doesn't contain all the hormones that you will find in pasteurized milk.  Also people that are lactose intolerant, may not have a problem with raw milk.  People with dairy allergies also may be able to handle raw milk.  It is true that milk may not be for everybody, but most of the rules we have been told about milk are not the same with raw milk.  Let me give you an example, i have been telling people for 12 years that if you have asthma, that milk isn't good for them and probably feeds the asthma.  Raw milk can help cure people from asthma.  Thats totally different than what i have been told for my 12 years of being a naturopth.  But for the most part i have been speaking against pasteruized milk.  You should find a dairy farmer in your area and go check out the operation before you become a customer. I just heard from Bruce.  He called me to let me know that his cholesterol is normal for the first time in 2 years. Prior to them coming to see me, both of them were on high cholesterol medication, high blood pressure medication and diabetes medication. first Breast Thermography Screening!!!</title><content type='html'>I am a huge fan of Thermography for breast health.  Conventional medicine doesn't start recommending mammograms until women hit 40 years old and just recently I have heard some insurance companies are allowing it at 35 years of age.  That is too late to start wondering about the health of your breast.  Thermography is an awesome tool that can detect problems 5-7 years before traditional medical testing can find anything.  So if you are a women the ages of 18 or older and you are looking for information on the health of your breast, then you should schedule your first thermography.  Why wait until you are 35 years old to know if you are developing problems?  Thermography can help you detect a problem much earlier and will allow us time to develop a strategy before it becomes a major to where you will need medical attention.&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;When you are younger than 35,  you would want to have a thermography screening every 3 years for maximum awareness.  If problems are detected, then it could be more often just for monitoring purposes.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br Today I don't eat cereal at all.  There isn't much nutritional value in cereal these days even the high fiber cereals don't do the trick.  They have too much processed carbohydrates that affect the blood sugar levels.  Even the milk that most of us eat cereal with isn't good for the body.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;What Makes a healthy Breakfast:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My recommendation for a healthy breakfast would be fresh fruit or a fresh vegetable juice.  Even eating free range eggs for your protein isn't a bad option either.  Keep it fresh and clean and try to eliminate the grains for breakfast.  I also like drinking 2 cups of water each morning to start off the day. The next time the doctor recommends a vaccine, ask him/her what are the ingredients of the shot they are recommending?  If they don't know it, don't get it.  Then ask them why don't they know, and how can they be so adamant in recommending something they know nothing about.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Most people wonder how can you get your child in school without having them vaccinated.  Its easy, and more and more people are opting not to vaccinate their children these days and it is becoming more routine within the schools.  How do I know?  I have a 7 year old daughter, who we chose not to vaccinate, who hasn't had any problems getting into either of her 2 public schools. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I don't walk around the office holding signs that tell people not to vaccinate.  If people ask me, I give them my honest opinion.  Everybody has to do what they feel is right for them and their family.  My wife and I chose not to vaccinate and I know we made the right choice.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By the way, did you know there are no double blinded studies to prove that vaccines work?  How can the great AMA promote something they have no research on?  I thought everything they did was based on scientific double blinded studies. Exercise is a big factor in improving oxygen to the cells.  As we get older, most of us live a sedentary life style.  Sendentary slows down blood flow, which slows down the absorption of oxygen and other life giving nutrients.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I recommend getting at least 30-40 minutes of moderate to high intensity cardiovascular workout  4-5x per week.  We need to stress our heart and elevate the Heart Rate to increase the uptake of oxygen into the cells.  By increasing oxygen into the cells of the body you are preventing dis-ease from settling in. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Walking isn't the recommended exercise when trying to increase your heart rate.  If you do walk, it should be in the form of power walking.  Light jogging, elliptical, stair climbers, jazzercize, aerobics, cycling and circuit training are all great forms of exercise that increase your heart rate.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What is your exercise program and how has exercise affected your health? So maybe that lucky individual will be on a prescription medication their entire life.  Acid reflux as an infant, ADD medicine when they get in school,  Diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure, thyroid medicine when we reach adulthood and then the arthritis, alzheimers, blood thinners and many more when we hit our senior years.  Its not uncommon for senior citizens to be taking 10 different prescription drugs each day just to function normally.  This is what I am burning on today. Does your auto insurance pay for your tune-ups or tire rotations, or transmission break downs?  I don't think so.  Does your home owners insurance pay for your new fence or even pay for your A/C when that goes out?  No it doesn't.  Unfortunately we don't accept insurance either.  We are considered more preventative.  If you have medical insurance, you are really covered for the trauma health care services, and that is important to have.  You shouldn't expect insurance to cover you for the preventative services.  Sure it would be nice, but the system isn't set up that way. You should be drinking at least 3/4 your body weight in ounces everyday to keep your body hydrated.  That means a 100 lbs person will need to drink 75 ounces of water each day to keep the body hydrated.  The best way to intake water is to drink about 4-6 ounces every 30 minutes throughout the day.  The worst way to intake water is to drink 40 oz in one setting.
