Do You Take Insurance?

This is a question that I have been hearing for over 10 years now. Does your auto insurance pay for your tune-ups or tire rotations, or transmission break downs? I don't think so. Does your home owners insurance pay for your new fence or even pay for your A/C when that goes out? No it doesn't. Unfortunately we don't accept insurance either. We are considered more preventative. If you have medical insurance, you are really covered for the trauma health care services, and that is important to have. You shouldn't expect insurance to cover you for the preventative services. Sure it would be nice, but the system isn't set up that way. Sure Co-pays sound nice and seem like you are getting more than you pay for, but are you really?

I will be celebrating a year on July 14th since I first met the team at the Whole Body Healing Center - Pat, Daneen and Shawn saved my life - I have done the 21 day detox, many treatments and had a full body scan - my life has been changed since the first day I walked into the clinic...after two years of traditional medicine appointments with no solution to my very complex physical issues.. I am whole and healed and on the road to recovery... and it has been worth every single penny - they took me seriously and worked hard to fix my problems... they are all amazing - Jackie MacElvaine - The Colony,

I really like your analogy. From what I see... 8 out of 10 people will not budget preventive health care into their lives. We budget entertainment, eating out and clothing, but no money to really take care of ourselves. Why do so many people think if my insurance doesn't pay, I won't proceed with this alternative option? Are we thinking I'm not worth it?
Thanks for your notes on Wellness.

I don't understand that mind set either. People feel they pay enough in health insurance that prevention should be covered in their plan. I agree with them, but unfortunately that isn't the way its set up. Thanks for the comments.

Some preventative health care providers do accept insurance. Also, if one is on a fixed income it is getting to the point of...do I pay for gasoline or groceries or medicine or electrical bills due to the heat???

Just offering another point of view.

I agree. It truly is less expensive to have a body scan with Dr. Shawn, than all the copays that go along with the battery of different tests usually prescribed by a medical doctor. In my experience, after all the extensive tests you are still left not knowing for sure what is causing the problem, then the rounds of let's try this med, then let's try this one start. The body scan is thorough, easy and completely pain free! It is the way to go if you really want answers and healing!

I spent more money on two visits to the ER last spring that did me no good whatsoever than six months of biofeedback treatments, lymph sessions and colon hydrotherapy at the Whole Body Healing Center, and includes travel expense and driving nearly two hours one way just to get to the clinic. Believe me, it is well worth it.

People that have insurance can certainly put $ aside in their flexible spending acct. to pay for sessions at the Whole Body Healing Ctr. I believe that $ is to be used for things that the ins. co. does not cover when you go to dentist, eye dr., physician etc. I know some people use that flexible spending acct. to help pay for daycare also. So I would encourage patients to put $ aside in that acct. Figure amt. in beginning of year as to how much you want taken out to be put towards your sessions at Whole Body Healing Ctr. Hope this helps ya'll
