How Many Prescription Medications are you Taking?

Here is what I am burning on right now.  I just had a 64 year old client come in and see me the other day.  She was on 7 prescription medications and she was taking 3 inhalent steroids.  Not to mention the $400.00 plus that she is spending out of pocket each month for these ridiculous prescriptions. This just really makes me sick.  How can somebody get healthy if they are taking all these prescriptions?  These prescriptions are causing most all of her problems.  Once we hit 40 years old, it is common procedure for a doctor to start recommending thyroid, blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes medications.  That is 4 common medications that are hitting many of us at 40 years old.  You start taking those 4 for a few months then you will start taking something for acid reflux, constipation arthritis pains and then next thing you know you aren't sleeping well.  So what do you think is next?  Then you start getting depressed because of all your symptoms and nothing is getting better.  Treating symptoms will not cure disease.  Our goal at the Whole Body Healing Center is for you to be prescription drug free.  It is possible and that should be your goal towards your health.  You can't say you are healthy if you are over 40 years old and you are taking a prescription medicine.  You aren't healthy.  On the flip side, I had a 64 year old married couple come in and see me the other day.  Neither one of them are on any medications.  Now that is healthy.  Let me know if you would like our help to keep you healthy.

Thanks to you and the great people at the clinic I am off of all but one prescription medication and now I don't need that as much as I did.

I am so saddened because the doctors have my dad on 24 meds a day. He gets a new sympton they give him a new medicine. They had a cholesterol medication that he says was working for about two years but now the Insurance company says they won't pay for it any longer. Now the doctor has put him on lipitor!! I have watched his health get worse with each new medication they put him on. He thinks they have saved his life. I say they have only prolonged his life but not a good quality of life at all.
